On May 5th, 2026, Italian trade unions, Fim, Fiom and Uilm, have sought a meeting to reiterate their economic demands to Unionmeccanica-Confapi via their union platform. These new demands include an increase in minimum wages for the 2027-2028 biennium, a call for the adjustment of the contractual term for the amount of the currently stagnant flexible benefit of €200 per year, and pushing for a review of the regulation governing the payment of the Equitable Element provided in the absence of corporate bargaining. The unions are further advocating for an increase in the company’s contribution to EBM Health. Unionmeccanica deemed these demands as excessive and called upon their associational bodies to evaluate the request. Both parties are scheduled to continue negotiations at the next scheduled meeting on May 18th, 2026.
