The Bilateral Tourism Industry Body is offering funding for training proposals aimed at updating and reskilling existing competences. The proposal could be carried out by companies directly or via public or private training bodies that are accredited by the Region where the company’s operational headquarters is situated.
The funding is mainly targeting challenges arising from the digital transition and changes concerning company organizational models. Companies eligible for this funding are those that implement the Tourism Industry National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL), which was signed on 14th November 2016 and those that belong to EBIT. Such companies must also be compliant with payments to the organization and must not have committed any collective redundancies between 1st January 2022 and the date of publication by EBIT of the call for applications for the training contributions.
The recipients of this training are employees who are engaged under an indefinite period employment contract, including apprentices. The organization has allocated a budget of 500,000 euros by 2025 to meet the contribution requests from the companies. The contribution will be reimbursed based on the product of the number of training hours, up to a maximum of 16 hours, and an hourly rate of 130 euros.
If the training is conducted outside of working hours and lasts for a maximum of 16 hours, the funding awarded by EBIT is supplemented with an amount equivalent to the economic indemnity for the workers. This amount is 10 euros for each training hour and will be paid to the workers who voluntarily take part in the training outside of working hours. Payment will be made by the company on behalf of the tax substitute with the pay slip for the first useful month subsequent to the payment by EBIT.
