The Flc-Cgil has announced, through a press release, the publication of circular no. 133215 of 11 June 2025 relating to the initiation of new accession procedures to the Espero Fund, in accordance with the principle of informed consent. The measure arises from the 2018 Budget Law and the agreement, signed on 16 November 2023, between the Aran and the trade unions that established the fund. The application has been delayed due to some data privacy issues that occurred during the discussions between the Ministry of Education and Merit, Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the privacy guarantor.
Specifically, the fund registration procedure concerns school personnel hired after 1 January 2019 on a permanent basis who will receive information from the Administration, if already serving on a permanent basis or at the time of hiring. Schools will then register with the SIDI platform when they have delivered the necessary documents. From that point, there is a countdown of nine months during which each worker can independently communicate to the Fund their intention to join or not using the application available in the Polis area.
Moreover, by the 10th day of each month following the expiration of nine months, the School Administration communicates to the interested parties their enrolment, including a link to the site for the purpose of exercising within 30 days, the right of withdrawal or to finalize the registration.
