The Italian National Institute of Social Security (INPS) has published the new reference amounts for dependent workers, self-employed workers, and members of the Separate Management in circular no. 47 dated April 21, 2026. This follows up on Circular n. 6/2026, where INPS announced relevant amounts for 2026 to calculate benefits regarding sickness, maternity/paternity, and tuberculosis for different categories of dependent, agricultural, domestic and self-employed workers.
Specifically, the reference amounts for 2026 are outlined for:
– Workers registered with Separate Management – these include maternity/paternity benefit, parental leave allowance, Family allowances, sickness and hospitalisation.
– Communal Maternity Allowance and State Maternity Allowance
– Income limits for parental leave allowances
– Maximum amounts for the economic allowance and the figurative credit for leave granted to relatives of people with severe disabilities.
The circular summarises these details with tables for better clarity. Therefore, the new reference values provide the basis for the calculation of various types of benefits for several worker categories for the year 2026.
